Extraordinary Seminars in the Summer Term 2026

We are delighted that the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) is funding two International Guest Professorships, one in the Philosophy of Cognitive Science, hosted by Tobias Schlicht, and one in Social Epistemology and Philosophy of Science, hosted by Dunja Šešelja)! from April to September as part of the DAAD funded International Guest Professorship "Philosophy of Cognitive Science"! 

In the Summer term 2026, we welcome Prof. Nico Orlandi (University of California Santa Cruz) who will offer three seminars on Concepts, on Conceptual Engineering and on Mental Representations, primarily addressing students in our MA Study Programmes in Philosophy and Cognitive Science. And we are welcoming Ass. Prof. Eugenio Petrovich (University of Torino) who will offer lectures on data Science for Philosophy and on Scientometrics and Science Mapping, and a Block Seminar on Quantitative Studues of Philosophy.

Research-oriented Teaching
Prof. Tobias Schlicht and Dr. Starzak will offer seminars in English in the context of research-oriented teaching, directed at Bachelor- and Master-Students. These are seminar on L.A. Pauls Book "Transformative Experience", on David Chalmers' book The Conscious Mind and on Gualtiero Piccinini's publications on the Computational Theory of Mind. All seminars include an accompanying workshop with the Authors and further renowned international experts. Further Information is here.

Es wird ein dreistufiges Anmeldeverfahren durchgeführt, d.h. es gibt unterschiedliche Anmeldefristen für die Einführungs- und Weiterführenden Module. Dazu sind in e-Campus folgende Fristen eingerichtet:

3. Seminare der WM-Module (Losverfahren):
