Erdmann Görg is a lecturer at the Chair of Philosophy and History of Science, Department of Philosophy I, Ruhr Universität Bochum. After studing Philosophy and Physics at the Friedrich Schiller University and the University of Copenhagen, he wrote his PhD Thesis ("Raum, Gott, Gravitation: Eine Untersuchung zum Verhältnis von Wissenschaft und Metaphysik anhand des 'absoluten Raumes' von Newton über Kant zu Fries", Engl: "Space, God, Gravity: An Investigation of the relationship between Science and Metaphysics through an analysis of absolute space from Newton over Kant to Fries") at the Ruhr Universität Bochum (supervisor: Helmut Pulte).

 

His current research interests include natural philosophy (especially the development and reception of fundamental Newtonian concepts), history and philosophy of science as well as didactics of philosophy.
