Guidelines for acknowledgement of the internship in the M. A. degree.

Prerequisites:

• Only work performed for at least 240 hours from the time of enrollment in the MA programme in Educational Studies at Ruhr University can be recognized as an internship. All forms of pedagogical activity that have an academic education as a prerequisite are possible, although internships in school-based teaching professions are excluded.
• Students should contact the Internship Officer at the Institute of Education for guidance prior to applying for an internship, as the internship must be registered in advance for approval by the internship provider in order to receive credit. In addition, the Internship Officer will be happy to assist you with both the internship search and selection process as well as the application process, if applicable.
• To register for the internship, you must fill out the form; this requires the following data: internship provider, contact person, address, telephone number, homepage/email, field of activity. The research question for the science-oriented second part of the internship report should be coordinated with the internship supervisor in a timely manner.
• The internship - if all requirements are met - will be credited with 10 CP in e-Campus upon completion.

Required documents for the credit of the internship in the M. A. programme

To receive credit for the internship, the following documents must be submitted in full no later than three months after completion of the internship:

• Internship certificate issued by the internship institution with the following information: Name and address of internship provider, name, period of time, number of hours, detailed description of the student's responsibilities, evaluation, date, and signature.
• internship report, approx. 15-page text, see also the notes on writing the internship report
• in the case of a part-time internship, a list of working hours, which must be kept for the entire period and confirmed by the internship provider.
