In the context of Research.oriented Teaching, Prof. Tobias Schlicht and Dr. Tobias Starzak offer seminars in English in the Summer Term 2026 directed at students in the BA and MA courses who are interested in the Philosophy of Mind. These include a seminar on L.A. Paul's Book Transformative Experience, on Matteo Colombo and Gualtiero Piccinini's Book The Computational Theory of Mind and on David Chalmers' Book The Conscious Mind. The seminars include Workshops with international guests, offering the students the opportunity to engage and discuss with the authors. Further Information on the Workshops can be found here.



The DAAD just granted an international Guest Professorship "Philosophy of Cognitive Science"! In the following four terms, four excellent international researchers and lecturers will offer additional seminars in English and are directed primarily at students in our MA study programs. But advanced BA students are very welcome! This winter term 2025/26, Prof. Robert Clowes (NOVA University Lissabon) will offer seminars on Generative AI, on AI companions, and on cognitive ontology. Sommer 2026: Prof. Nico Orlandi (University of California Santa Cruz), Winter 2026/27: Prof. Robert Rupert (University of Colorado, Boulder), Summer 2027: Prof. Kristin Andrews (York University/CUNY New York).
