Teaching

The research group teaches in the BA/MA program "Educational Science" as well as in the educational science program for teachers (M.Ed.). The main focus is on the modules AM2 "Teaching and learning in an educational-psychological perspective", WM2 "Teaching and learning", KM2 "School and teaching", VM2 "Psychological perspectives on learning and problem solving" and VM5 "Research workshop quantitative methods". In addition, the research group is involved in empirical quantitative methods training.

The aim of teaching is to be oriented towards the learning processes of individual students and to enable them to create optimally adapted learning environments. In addition, they must recognize the relevance of scientifically based knowledge for professional action in professional practice fields. To this end, students must be familiar with models and theories from cognitive psychology and educational psychology as well as empirical educational research and subject didactics and be able to relate them to one another. In addition, students need a sound basic knowledge of empirical research and evaluation methodology, not least in order to be able to read and understand current empirical research literature themselves.
