From the beginning of the third semester, students can integrate a study abroad programme at any time. The University's International Office offers a wide range of support and advice.
The Institute of Educational Science has also appointed an Erasmus officer who can clarify specific questions. The coursework completed during the stay at another university will be recognised by the academic advisors at RUB, provided there is no significant difference to the module competencies.
In the 2-subject Bachelor of Arts degree, course work completed during a stay at another university that is not equivalent to an educational science module, may be recognised in the optional area of the degree programme.
In the 1-subject Master of Arts degree, the supplementary area can be used for the purpose of study abroad programmes. If possible, all recognition of coursework to be undertaken during the study abroad should be agreed upon before starting the stay as a guest student. Master’s degree students are also encouraged to go abroad once again in the final phase of the degree programme, for example to conduct research for the Master's thesis within a network (LabExchange programme).
