BAföG proof

As the BAföG office does not know the examination regulations of all degree programmes and therefore cannot properly assess whether you have completed your studies, it leaves this assessment to the universities/examination offices. In each faculty there is someone in the administration who is responsible for filling out Form 5 for the BAföG office [...].
The faculty then determines for all students how many credits must have been earned in total after the 4th semester (if applicable, also in relation to certain areas of study) and informs the BAföG office of this in writing. The faculty’s decision is binding (VwV 48.1.2a). [...] a certificate stating the number of credit points you have been awarded [...] is sufficient as proof of achievement. It is therefore not necessary to complete Form 5.
