Cycle of the lectures (WM1 / AM1)

For better planning of your course of study, we would like to point out that the lectures in module WM1 (M. Ed. 2020) and AM 1 (B.A. 2016 or M. Ed. Pedagogy) are only offered alternately. The systematic lecture “Konstruktionen des Pädagogischen” (Ricken) always takes place in the winter semester, and the educational history lecture “Konzepte, Praktiken, sozialer Wandel” (Scholz) always in the summer semester.

However, both the systematic lecture (Ricken) and the lecture on the history of education can be credited for different parts of the modules:

  • Module WM1 (M. Ed. Educational Sciences): Both lectures can be credited for part 1 or part 2.
  • Module AM1 (B. A. Educational Science and M. Ed. Pedagogy (teaching subject)): The systematic lecture (Ricken) can be credited for part 1 or part 2, and the educational history lecture (Scholz) for part 3 or part 2.

Please consider the resulting options when planning your course of study: In module WM1, you must complete one lecture and one seminar from two different parts each. In the AM1 module, you must complete one lecture and two seminars, each from three different module parts. In total, all module parts in WM1 and AM1 must be studied.
