Registrations

Before registering for your first examination, please familiarise yourself with your

• current examination regulations and the subject-specific regulations

According to the subject-specific regulations, students must take a module exam in all modules.

You register for the final module examinations (written exam, term paper or oral exam) via eCampus. It is important that the relevant requirements for registration in eCampus are met. You are responsible for scheduling the exams and fulfilling the prerequisite requirements.

If you have any questions about the registration process, please send us an email to: modulpruefung-anmeldung-ew@rub.de.

During the examination registration period, you can also deregister on your own via eCampus. If you wish to deregister at a later date, you must notify your examiner in writing no later than one week before the examination date. If your examination date is in less than one week, a (medical) certificate/proof must be submitted to the examiner within three days of the examination date!

The examination registration period as well as the proposed examination periods for written and oral examinations can be viewed at any time and in good time on our homepage (Please see the ‘Dates’ tab on the homepage)

The Bachelor’s thesis can be registered at the Examination Office within 14 days of the topic being announced by the first examiner,  provided that the minimum eligibility requirement of 130 CP can be proven.

When planning your studies, please note that your Bachelor's thesis will take 6 weeks to complete, followed by a 4-week review period.

According to §2 of the official announcement from 12.06.2023, the Bachelor’s thesis must be uploaded by the deadline in pdf or pdfA format to the Examination Office portal for the electronic submission of Bachelor’s or Master’s theses. This is done via Moodle.

You will receive an access key for later submission via Moodle with an admission letter from the Examination Office. Instructions can be found here

Please save your work as follows: matriculation number_surname_first name

We recommend that you familiarise yourself with the registration and subsequent submission process at an early stage so that your thesis can be uploaded by the deadline.

At the end of your Bachelor’s degree programme, you will need to complete Form C (or your first and second subject, as well as the Optionalbereich).

You can submit Form C to us as soon as you have completed all the required work in the individual subjects.

In advance of this, you submit Form C to the respective departmental representatives so that they can confirm that you have completed all academic work in the subject

The relevant examination office can then generate your subject grade

Once you have completed all coursework and examinations, you will receive a certificate of completion, which will serve as a substitute until you receive your final graduation documents (certificate, diploma supplement, transcript of records). The preparation of your final graduation documents takes about 4 weeks. The final documents will be sent to you by registered post.
