Daniel Schumann, born in 1990, is a researcher at the Institute for Educational Research at Ruhr-University Bochum and the coordinator of the joint-degree MA program "Superdiversity in Education, Organisations and Society (SEOS)" of the UNIC network since 01/2023.
After an interdisciplinary Studium Generale at Leibniz Kolleg Tübingen, he studied sociology at the University of Freiburg and the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima. From 08/2019 to 09/2022, he was a researcher at the Diversity Research Institute at the University of Göttingen. Daniel Schumann was a guest scholar at GHI Pacific Office at the University of California, Berkeley and a fellow of the Research Institute Social Cohesion (RISC) at the University of Leipzig. His research interests include diversity research, the sociology of knowledge and education, discourse and dispositif research, and qualitative method(ologie)s.
