At the end of the master study

Registration Master's thesis M. Ed.

As a rule, you will write your master's thesis in one of your two teaching subjects. However, it is in principle also possible to write your master's thesis in educational science. Please note, however, that you may be required to complete additional work of up to 13 CP (i.e. 2-3 courses) in order to meet the requirements for the Master's thesis. The supervisor of the Master's thesis will decide on the extent of any additional work. The form for registering the Master's thesis must be signed by the advisor and the reviewer. You can register the Master's thesis as soon as you have completed the internship semester and have 20 CP in educational science.
The Master's thesis is set and supervised by an examiner and should not exceed 170,000 characters. The first examiner must have a habilitation. The processing time is three months. In the case of empirical or experimental topics, the processing time can be five months.
