Transition to the Master's level

Welcome to the Pedagogy Student Advisory Service!




Here we have compiled important information for you about the subject of education in the M. Ed. programme. We offer you:

  • Individual assistance with all questions regarding the content, course and planning of the pedagogy studies in the Master of Education programme.
  • Up-to-date information on courses offered, available seminar places and news from teaching and research
  • Information and assistance on the organization of examinations (dates, deadlines, forms, etc.) 
  • Acknowledgement of achievements acquired at other universities within the framework of an equivalence application
  • Referral to relevant contact persons for specific concerns.
     

An important note on enrollment: At the RUB, all teaching subjects in the Master of Education, including the teaching subject Pedagogy, are free of admission. 

Please note that the information and regulations listed on these pages refer exclusively to pedagogy as a teaching subject! The regulations in your other teaching subject may differ from these guidelines. Please also note the information on the study of educational sciences, which you must complete in addition to your subject-specific and subject-didactic parts of the M.Ed. programme. When enrolling, you should also take into account the possibilities of combining pedagogy with any second subjects. Information on this can be found here.

With regard to your professional training goal, please also take into account that the subject of pedagogy in the general education school system only exists in NRW.
 

CHANGE OF STUDY LOCATION?

If you are a transfer student, we are pleased if/that you would like to continue your studies at RUB! In order to ensure a smooth transfer to the RUB, please inform yourself about the modalities of the acknowledgement procedure as well as the required forms on the pages of the Admissions and Credentials Office of the Professional School of Education.

For the acknowledgement of foreign study and examination achievements in the subject of education, we require an overview of the achievements you have made at other universities (Transcript of Records) as well as a module handbook. Please bring these with you to the office hours or send us the documents by mail.
